Type A Personality:
- Competitive, ambitious
- Time-pressured, impatient
- Aggressive, hostile
- Workaholic tendencies
ā 2x higher risk of coronary heart disease
Type B Personality:
- Relaxed, easygoing
- Not stressed by competition
- Doesn't need constant recognition
ā Lower stress-related illness risk
Later research identified 'hostility' as the key factor in Type A.
Criticism: Overly simplistic categorization.
